Das Auto? Nein, Das Baby!

Just a quick one today. A friend of mine requested a  shirt for her little girl with the VW sign and a quirky adjustment to the logo. Too cute for this shirt!

It's all in the name...

 

 

A friend of mine is having a little girl soon and has decided to call her Monroe. I decided to make her, her very own taggie blankie (See these and other personalised baby gear in my shop www.ideasmarket.co.za/stores/bo-dizzle) and made this perfectly pink monogrammed box to put it in.

 

 And to finish off the gift I made her a personalised sippy cup which I posted about  previously

Baby blocks


To change the letter in the monogram block simply left click on the "M" and click on "edit text" then change it to whatever letter you would like.

I cut out the background blocks and ran them through my embosser before sticking them on. The flower embellishments are from Birds Cards and are also free you can find them here.

Always something there to remind me...

I wrote a letter to my Rory when he was four months old and the last line I wrote was this:

"So if you don't mind, my baby, could you grow a little slower and remind me that I only get each moment once and before I know it I'll be dancing at your wedding wishing for one more night with my tiny baby."

I kept reminding myself of that, even in the middle of the night when I had been bouncing and rocking and singing for hours to get him to sleep. It helped me enjoy just being with my little love bug in difficult moments.

I've seen these gorgeous wall vinyls and wanted one so badly, only to discover that my walls are too rough (...sigh...). But my blog isn't called "How to make a penguin out of a tin can and a piece of string" for nothing so I improvised.

I found a pack of pressed polystyrene ceiling tiles floating around in my garage and with the help of some vinyl and washi tape created a 3D vinyl tile.

 So now I will always have something there to remind me that my baby wont be small forever and I must enjoy every moment!

Hi everyone!

I thought I would share with you two of my latest projects that I also added to my store:

 The taggies (Which I have called Snuzzle Bankies) were made using embossed fleece. It is soft and doesn't shed. I used my Silhouette Portrait and Silhouette brand heat transfer material to create the names. What a perfect gift for a new baby don't you think?

My little guy is now graduating to sippy cups so I decided to brand him his very own using my Silhouette Portrait and vinyl. His name is very hard to find on any of the commercial personalised items you find in the shops so I think I'm going to be doing a lot more of this kind of branding!
